I mentioned CrossworDS (yes, very clever) the other day when talking about the DS’s demo service, little realising that the game was released on Tuesday for the bargain price of $19.99. While it’s the kind of game that works better with a pen and paper, if you’re allergic to print or averse to getting dirty thumbs then I can see why it might be worth getting. Certainly the interface works very well, and the text recognition is generally very good - although you need to input lower case ‘i’, otherwise the game will stick an ‘l’ in the space.

Certainly for this price however - a mere ten pounds in English money - if anyone’s looking for a suitable Brain Training follow up for their parents, say, then this could well be worth a look. No news on whether the UK is getting it, but we have had The Sun’s version in the last fortnight, so we might be in for a wait.
